Things have been absolutely nutszo around the Knepper household these past couple weeks. The Beggars Banquet was amaze and I still have to post photos of that once I can get around to editing them. Just a couple days after that though, Josh and I started working on a web series called Soldiers of the Apocalypse. Josh is the Director of Photography and I’m doing wardrobe. The guys we’re working with had already filmed a trailer that you’ll see on the site, but all of that is getting scrapped and Josh is reshooting everything. We’re filming the first season now and thinking it will be ready to air early next year.
Working on a set in any capacity is super stressful, but wardrobe is something new for me; honestly, I feel like it’s way over my head. Of course I know fashion, but this isn’t fashion; it’s a lot of uniformed military boys and freaky dudes trying to kill them. Once in a while I get to dress some civilians, but even then it’s a little harder than it should be; I’m a perfectionist — and these just aren’t the hipsters I’m used to, so selling the role is a workout for my creative juices. All of the cast are super fun and loving it though, which makes everything so much better.
Check out these bullet holes I had to put on this shirt. Not going to lie — I had to Google how to do it and then just went for it, but I think it turned out well. It’s a bit messy because its already been worn through the scenes. It’s so hard to stop and take photos, but luckily we’ve had a photographer on set the whole time so there should be some amazing behind the scenes shots to come.

On a slightly but not completely unrelated note, I am super crushing on these boots that one of the actors brought in this week. They are a worn brown leather pair that Leo DiCaprio wore in The Aviator. I mean seriously, amaze. We should all just go watch that again. Okay, off to it y’all.
