Dog Days

Once a month, there is a Dachshund Meetup in Vancouver and most of the time they meet right down the street from our house. How convenient it was that there was a gorgeous break in the weather for our boys to go out and meet some friends!! I usually refer to these meetups as “Weiner Meets” but only recently realized how strange that sounds to someone who has no idea what I’m talking about — ha. You can’t tell by the pics, but there were near 50 weenies when we first got there. Seeing a bunch of this breed together is so much fun; they completely recognize their kind and love hanging out together.

Seriously, if we had a huge property, we would for sure have more pups, among other kinds of animals also. Until then, hanging out with all these little guys satisfies my hankering for more. See how fun this looks?!! Our black doxie, Mayer, has like no meat on his bones, so towards the end he was freezing and wanting to be held. He’s a pretty needy booger in general though. Our ginger, Rado (not the guy below), is usually pretty much as happy as a clam.

After a nice warm bath, some snuggling in the sunshine was in order. That’s the life.
